A Serbian journalist for the website Zig Info, Milan Jovanovic, said that unknown individuals set fire to his home and garage on Wednesday and shot at his front door because of his reporting on local corruption.
According to the media watchdog Cenzolovka, the perpetrators set fire to Jovanovic’s home at around 3.30 in the morning by throwing a „Molotov cocktail“ through a garage window.
After that, they shot at the front door in order to prevent Jovanovic and his wife from coming out, but they escaped the burning house through a back window:

„I will not stop writing about the thieves and the mob even if they kill me,“ Jovanovic told Cenzolovka.
Serbian police have said they are investigating how Jovanovic’s home caught fire with him and his wife inside.
According to Beta news agency, Jovanovic’s wife reported hearing gunshots and the police confirmed finding a bullet case in front of the garage.
